TimbyrNode licence - problems and how to fix them
===============================================================

If TimbyrNode cannot start, it shows an "Application Security"
window with one of the messages below. Find your message and apply
the fix. Where to put the licence file in the first place:
"How to install your licence.txt".

---------------------------------------------------------------
"No licence file (*.lic) was found."
---------------------------------------------------------------

No ".lic" file in the folder shown in the message.

Fix: copy your ".lic" file into that folder (the one with
TimbyrNode.exe). Check the name ends in ".lic", not ".lic.txt"
(turn on "File name extensions" in the View menu to be sure).
If you have no licence file, contact us.

---------------------------------------------------------------
"A licence file was found but could not be validated."
---------------------------------------------------------------

The file was edited, corrupted, renamed, or belongs to a different
product. Even a small change breaks it; never open a ".lic" file
in an editor.

Fix: use the exact file we sent. Copy it again from our original
email, or contact us for a fresh copy.

---------------------------------------------------------------
 "The licence has expired."
---------------------------------------------------------------

Fix: contact us to renew. Drop the new ".lic" file into the same
folder and restart TimbyrNode.

---------------------------------------------------------------
"Licence mismatch (the hardware configuration changed)."
---------------------------------------------------------------

Your licence is tied to this computer, and the hardware no longer
matches (new machine, disk replacement, or a Windows reinstall).

Fix: run GetHardwareID again on this computer (see "How to run
GetHardwareID.txt") and email us the new file. We will issue a
replacement licence.

---------------------------------------------------------------
"Hardware configuration change detected ... 14-day grace period."
---------------------------------------------------------------

NOT a failure: TimbyrNode still runs normally for 14 days.

Fix: within those 14 days, run GetHardwareID and email us the new
file so we can issue a permanent replacement in time.

---------------------------------------------------------------
"The licence could not be verified. An internet connection is
  required for first activation."
---------------------------------------------------------------

Fix: connect to the internet and start TimbyrNode once. After
that it works offline.

---------------------------------------------------------------
"The system clock appears to be set incorrectly."
---------------------------------------------------------------

Fix: correct the Windows date and time (right-click the clock ->
"Adjust date and time" -> turn on "Set time automatically"), then
start TimbyrNode again.

If your licence is tied to hardware, attach a fresh GetHardwareID
file too.
